Bear Camp Overnights
Combine adventure with comfort for a night in the wilderness. Extend your Pack Creek experience by spending the night on this customized, fully guided trip for 2 to 4 people. In addition to a scenic float plane flight, we’ll enjoy sea kayaking along the shores of the Kootznoowoo Wilderness, 2 opportunities to visit Pack Creek and a cozy camp on a small island in the protected waters of Windfall Harbor.
After a scenic flight from Juneau into the Kootznoowoo Wilderness, we’ll kayak from our base camp to Pack Creek. After spending the afternoon looking for bears, paddle home where you’ll be greeted with a hot (or cold!) drink.
Your guides will have everything arranged for you. While they prepare a fresh, locally-sourced dinner you can explore the island, relax by the wood stove in your wall tent, or kick back and enjoy a stunning view.
Our spacious wall tents allow us to bring the comfort and privacy to the wilderness. Each tent sleeps two people in their own cots, has lamp-lit seating and a small wood stove. As you relax in your sleeping bag you might hear the light patter of rain, the breeze in the trees or whales surfacing in the distance.
We will get things moving the next morning with coffee and a hearty breakfast. You’ll head back to Pack Creek for another day looking for bears before kayaking back to camp and flying back to Juneau.
This is an adventurous trip offering both fun physical challenges and cozy comforts. Participants should have sea kayaking experience and be able to walk on uneven and slippery terrain. Minimum one night, longer trips are possible. Trip is offered by arrangement only. Starting at $1,499 per person. Call 907-209-5432 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
